I first became interested in acupuncture and the “Eastern approach” to health about 30 years ago, after reading books by Felix Mann, one of the first Westerners to study and write about acupuncture. However, it was not until the early 1990s that I began my studies in earnest. I qualified as a shiatsu practitioner in 1996 after 3 years of study and in acupuncture in 1999. Besides my home practice I work at the New Haw Therapy Clinic and give my services as a therapist volunteer at Woking Hospice and the Fountain Centre at St. Lukes’ Hospital in Guildford. I believe that my two therapies, combined with a good knowledge of the muscular and skeletal systems, allow me to devise the best treatment for a wide variety of clients and conditions.
